Oregano Essential Oil
Aromatic │ Topical │ Internal │ Oral │Children
Oregano (Origanum vulgare)
Oregano is highly anti-microbial, specifically antibacterial. Used as a disinfectant for many common conditions, oregano is a main go-to oil in many households. Wellness Warrior recommends this product to be a must-have in your home pharmacy. This product is available in a 15 mL amber glass Euro bottle.
All Wellness Warrior essential oils are organic.
Because of its strong antibacterial properties, oregano is often used directly on the area of concern. This oil is a "hot" oil, meaning that it can easily injure skin tissue if applied topically without a carrier oil, which dilutes the oil to a safe concentration for topical use. Wellness Warrior recommends a dilution of no greater than 1% for this oil. In extreme cases, like fungal infections where the area of concern is in a moist area, special considerations may apply and once small areas of skin are tested for reaction, it may be necessary to apply this oil without a carrier oil, but please use caution. Oregano is also a common oil to be used in cooking. Simply dip a toothpick in the bottle, then swirl into your dish. Best to use after food is cooked and just prior to consumption.
Analgesic, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antitoxic.
This product is different than 'oil of oregano' which is commonly used internally as an anti-bacterial product. Please note that the essential oil of oregano, which is what this product is.
HOW TO USE:
Aromatic – Add 3-4 drops of oil to distilled water and diffuse; inhale directly by cupping your hands around an open bottle and breath in deeply through your nose.
Topical – Directly apply 1 drop of oil to the area of concern or to reflex points (dilute using a carrier oil to a concentration of no greater than 1% essential oil).
Internal – Can be used as a flavoring in cooking. Use less than 1 drop as this is a strong oil. Can also place 1 drop in a capsule and take internally with 8 oz of water.
Oral – Using a cotton-tipped swab, apply oil directly to the area of concern in the mouth. Caution should be exercised anytime an essential oil is used on or near the mouth with special care to avoid actually touching the skin.
Children – Safe for children with proper dilution. Please refer to our Wellness Warrior Essential Oil Dosing Guide. Do not use with children undiluted!
For people with sensitive skin, Wellness Warrior suggests diluting essential oils with a vegetable-based carrier oil, such as raw coconut or jojoba oil.
